Learning social studies, history and civics in particular, is extraordinarily important to one’s education.  To understand why the world is the way it is and how governments and societies came to be is to be an informed and educated citizen.  It is my goal that through the classes we share together, you will become more aware of the world in which you live and that you will leave my class in June with a more complete understanding of how the past impacts the present.

WCI-Honors Students - Remember to bring your research paper folder to class everyday (regardless of whether or not it is a library day).  Make sure you ask if you need a research pass to use the library when it is closed.  Yellow update charts are due every Friday.

Civics Students - Be sure to remember your book EVERY DAY!

Second semester has begun!  Those in my Western Civ classes can clear out your binders of first semester materials (though you may want to keep the first few pages from the start of the year).  Academic classes, don’t clear them out until after your notebook check!  If your binder is falling apart or the rings are broken, please get a new one!
